The Scout kit
Everything you need, pre-configured and ready to drive.
One Scout kit turns the trucks and vehicles you already run on those roads and trails into a repeating road record — kinetic sensing plus continuous video. It ships assembled and set up; you mount it and go.
Six parts, one box.
The hitch-mounted road-health unit — accelerometer, gyroscope and GPS — scoring surface condition live as it drives.
Road-healthA pre-loaded Android running the Dashcam app, capturing continuous, geolocated HD video of the route alongside the sensor — and on its own, wherever the sensor can't ride.
VideoSecure mounting hardware that fixes the Scout sensor to a standard receiver hitch.
MountingDraws 12V from the vehicle's trailer connection, so the sensor runs off the truck on the drive.
PowerWall charger for the sensor unit between drives, or where there's no trailer power.
PowerWindshield mount that holds the Android device steady for a clean, continuous forward view.
MountingOne Data License runs up to two kits. The kit arrives pre-configured — no setup, no procurement cycle. Illustrative prototype; final hardware may vary.
It goes on a vehicle already making the drive.
The Scout sensor clamps to the hitch and powers off the 7-pin trailer connection; the Dashcam device sits on the windshield. There's nothing to operate — the drive you were already making becomes the capture. Roads or trails: the Dashcam device gives you dated, geolocated video wherever it travels, including routes no truck maintains. Road-health scoring comes from the hitch-mounted Scout sensor, so surface condition rides with the hitch; the video record does not.
Built for rugged, continuous use and designed to run for years, not seasons. We warranty the electronics for three months; physical damage (cracked or bent units) isn't covered, but if a kit is damaged, send us the old unit and we'll replace it at a discount.
